01Overview

The AudioThing Kontakt Bundle gathers 26 sampled instruments from AudioThing, built to run inside Kontakt. The set spans eight tuned percussion and mallet sounds, six synths, two string instruments, four sound design sources and six keys and seasonal instruments. The developer describes the collection as a unique blend of sounds, with hundreds of presets and thousands of samples across the instruments. Because every instrument runs in Kontakt, the bundle works as a sound source inside a host that supports it.

03In depth

Tuned Percussion, Mallets and Synth Sounds

The percussion and mallet group includes Frame Drums, Toy Marimba, Bells, Wood, Pipes, Glass, Pong Glockenspiel and Tank Drum. These offer pitched and textured hits for rhythmic parts, melodic lines and textures.

The synth group contains GAK150, EKR490, Satellite, SX1500, Tapestation and TX101. Each is a separate Kontakt instrument, so you can layer them or use them on their own for pads, leads and basses.

Strings, Sound Design and Keys

Two string instruments are included: Bowed Harp and Strings. The sound design section adds Soundscapes Vol.1, Soundscapes Vol.2, ChromaKey and Milkshake for atmospheric and experimental textures.

The keys and specials group includes Organetta, Magical Toy Keyboard, Toy Piano, Xmas Beer Bottles, Halloween Pumpkins and Toy Bars. The seasonal instruments suit holiday-themed or novelty projects.
