Sound Design Categories and Character
Ambient Designer focuses on experimental sound design. It combines tonal and non-tonal material, including guitar plucks, phrases, a violin bow on strings, fingers sliding on strings, white noise and amp buzz. Each layer can be mixed and panned to build custom atmospheres.
Swells provides strums of high and low major and minor chords for each sound. Individual notes are also sampled, so you can build your own voicings. Pads lets you load and mix two sounds to create a wide range of guitar-based pads.
