Vital Series: Sticks: Percussion Instrument for Kontakt

The library covers 23 stick types played on 20 sound surfaces, giving 80 unique combinations. Vir2 Instruments recorded the surfaces in locations such as kitchens, offices and dumpsters, which accounts for the quirky character of the sounds.

Each instrument uses dry, stereo samples with up to five velocity layers and 26 round robins, split between 13 left-hand and 13 right-hand variations. That repetition control helps fast rhythmic patterns avoid sounding mechanical. The library contains over 2GB of uncompressed content.

Sticks uses four playback engines within one patch. Each engine lets you choose a sound and either play the part manually or use the built-in sequencer, so you can edit, play and blend up to four patterns at once.

Each sequencer step controls velocity, pitch and pan, which allows performances that differ from one another. Seven built-in effects are available for shaping the sound: Equalizer, Flanger, Phaser, Transient Master, Compressor, Delay and Reverb.
