Sound Selection and Mallet Types
The core of the library is eight tuned percussion instruments, each recorded with several mallet types: Soft, Medium Soft, Medium Hard, Hard, Rods and Bow. Each instrument uses dry, stereo samples with up to four velocity layers and five round robins, so repeated notes avoid obvious repetition.
The mallet types give you control over attack and tone within each instrument, which is useful when you want a softer marimba pad or a harder, more articulate xylophone line.
