01Overview

Acoustifier is built for situations where close-miking an acoustic guitar is not practical, such as in-the-box mixing, live performance or recording without a dedicated room. You select a guitar body type and one of three classic microphone styles, then use stereo XY or spaced pair configurations to shape the sound. Solid State Logic positions the plugin as an all-in-one tool for the recorded D.I. signal, with its own EQ, reverb and compressor built in, so you can often keep the chain inside a single instance.

Body Type and Microphone Modeling

Acoustifier offers four acoustic guitar body models: two dreadnought variations, a jumbo/large body and a concert/orchestra model. Matching the model to your instrument is the starting point for accurate tone.

The microphone section lets you choose between dynamic, condenser and ribbon types, with XY and spaced pair setups available. Solid State Logic says the simulation emulates a dual-microphone setup, so the result is intended to sound like a stereo recording rather than a mono DI signal.

EQ, Reverb and Compression Workflow

The built-in EQ combines a quick-access tilt band with high-pass and low-pass filters and three fully configurable parametric bands. Adjustments are made on a node-based graph with a real-time frequency analyser.

The onboard reverb offers Room, Chamber, Plate and Hall types. Its reverb ducking reduces the reverb level when the guitar plays, which helps the dry performance stay clear. The integrated compressor includes an Auto-Gain feature and a Mix knob for parallel compression, and it can be placed post-reverb.
