Leap Expansion - Disco and Funk: Kontakt Preset Pack by Native Instruments

The pack centers on the core instruments of the two genres: funky basslines, wah-wah guitars, bright synths and soulful vocal elements. Native Instruments describes the grooves and licks as drawn from vibrant synths, funky guitars, punchy basslines and soulful vocals.

Because the content is delivered as Kontakt presets, you can layer these parts with your own drums and arrangement to build a full track. The collection suits producers who want authentic retro textures without sourcing each instrument separately.

Native Instruments says the Leap Expansions are built for playful performance. The developer describes performance effects that let you twist pitch, warp speed and slice loops from a single key press. The company frames this as a way to spark ideas and happy accidents during the creative process.

These controls are most useful when you want to take a sampled groove somewhere unexpected while keeping its disco or funk character.
