Sound Sources and How the Samples Were Made

Sound Yeti says the Dawn sounds were built from a range of hardware synths, modular rack synths and effects units. The developer names the DSI Prophet Rev 2, the Moog One and the Tasty Chips GR-1 Granular Synthesizer among the sources. Combining these instruments produced a set of core samples that the developer states were designed to suit Ambition's strengths.

The pack includes 610 chromatic samples across 60 sample sources, so most sounds can be played across the keyboard range.

Presets, Snapshots and Playable Textures

Dawn is organized into 70 snapshots and several preset categories: 22 pads, 11 keys, 7 evolving patches, 14 pulses and motion sounds, and 16 playable textures. The pulses and motion category covers rhythmic and modular material, while the textures category is aimed at playing sustained parts.

Because the pack is a preset collection for Ambition, it is a practical source of starting points for scoring, ambient production and melodic writing rather than a standalone instrument.
