BFD Oak Custom: Yamaha Oak Drumkit Expansion for BFD3

The toms in BFD Oak Custom can be played with sticks, mallets and rods. Sticks give a sharp, direct attack, mallets produce a softer strike, and rods offer a different texture for brushed or effected parts.

The kick is included with two beater types, so you can choose a more punchy or a more rounded low end depending on the groove. Because the toms respond to several implements, one kit can cover a range of styles without loading a second set of samples.

The pack adds a Yamaha bamboo snare taken from BFD Signature Snares Vol.1. It is a reduced-detail version, so it is lighter in the number of articulations than the full snare instrument in that collection.

BFD Oak Custom also includes bonus samples of the original Yamaha drum cases being struck. These sounds can serve as extra percussive textures or as a reference for how the shells resonate. The recording approach is similar to BFD Percussion and other Yamaha-based expansions such as BFD Jazz Maple and the Mapleworks kits in BFD3.
