Room Mics and Mixing Flexibility
The pack is built around the room at AIR's Lyndhurst Hall, captured by two pairs of room microphones. A mid/side close room set lets you move between true mono and expanded stereo. Three direct snare microphones and far-room mics add separate layers for shaping the sound.
The Neve console's AIR Montserrat preamps and Prism converters are used throughout, which the developer describes as a warm yet defined signal path. The far-room mics are noted for their character and sense of space, useful when you want drums that feel large without losing definition.
