VPS Avenger 2: Multi-Synthesis Synth Plugin by Vengeance Sound

The core of VPS Avenger 2 is up to eight oscillator modules. Each one can work as a classic virtual analog oscillator with saw, square, sine, triangle and noise shapes, as a wavetable oscillator with morphable wavetables, or as an FM oscillator.

Oscillator shapes can be imported by converting any single-cycle waveform sample, chosen from the factory library, or drawn by hand with pencil and line tools. Each oscillator can also act as a multisample player, and the Sample Stacker feature can layer up to four multisamples per module.

Every oscillator can also run as a granular module. Grains can be pitched, spread and reversed, and a Resample mode lets you cycle through long wave files as a source.

Version 2 adds a Spectral module, which the developer describes as working on an FFT base to produce time-freezes without grains. A Single Loop module plays any WAV loop and matches its tempo automatically. A drum loop module extends the drumkit module with loop playback using zplane time-stretching.

A quantizer module auto-pitches oscillators to chosen scales and supports host sync, arp and fixed 16th-note triggers. The arpeggiator gains a randomizer for pitch, length, gaps, octaves, velocity, ratchets and slides, plus a ratchet feature for subdividing notes. Arp patterns can be exported as MIDI files.

Version 2 adds several new effects. Q4ntum is a 4x multitap delay with three automatable, tempo-synced effect slots per delay and three master effects. BitBite is a bit reducer with feedback and drive. RutaVerb offers five new reverbs, including an algorithm the developer calls Abyss for dense, long tails.

A shimmer feature with transpose and feedback is available in RutaVerb, AA Reverb and V-Verb. An envelope follower extracts real-time control data from audio, and filters can now be routed in serial, in parallel or in between.
