01Overview

Multiband Compressor lets you control dynamics separately in up to four frequency bands. Each band can have its own compressor, and each compressor can get a limiter. Sound Shaping and Band Control

You can run the plugin in 1, 2, 3 or 4 band mode. Each active band gets its own compressor with hard or soft knee selection, plus optional autogain and autorelease. A graphical ratio and threshold curve shows the compression behavior as you adjust it.

The filters offer slopes from 6 dB to 96 dB, and Vengeance Sound states these filters avoid phasing issues. Anti-distortion filters are included for very short release times. Each band can also have a limiter, and a separate sum limiter with autorelease sits on the master output for mastering use.

Metering, New York Compression and Workflow

Live waveform scopes show every channel, and a realtime FFT analyzer overlays input and output so you can compare the dry and processed signal. The MIX knob enables New York compression, which blends back some of the original dynamics.

The dynamic pattern compressor, which Vengeance Sound calls DPC, is a feature unique to this plugin according to the developer. All parameters are automatable from your host. The plugin runs in VST3, VST2, AU and AAX hosts on Windows and macOS.
