Sunflower is a vocal instrument built around the sound of a Ukrainian female singer. Soundiron developed it with producer and engineer Maks Histibe, who selected the lyrics and phrases from classical Ukrainian poetry. Alongside the sung text, the library offers articulations on three vowels, letting you write melodic lines without words. It runs inside Kontakt and includes a set of ready-made presets for sounds beyond straight vocals.

Vocal Sound and Articulations

The core of the library is a set of lyrical phrases and vowel-based material. Soundiron reports more than 800 sung phrases and over 250 emotional vowel phrases. Each vowel is sampled with sustain, swell and staccato articulations on Ah, Oo and a hummed sound, so you can shape the line from soft, held tones to short, percussive notes.

The samples total 1,528 unlocked WAV files, and the library takes up about 1.75 GB once installed. That size suits producers who want a full range of vocal textures in one instrument.

Interface, Presets and Effects

The instrument uses a four-layer interface with 24 Kontakt .nki presets and 60 soundscapes, synth leads and pads. A mixer and built-in FX rack include convolution reverb with rooms, halls, chambers and other environments, so you can place the voice in a space without a separate reverb chain.
