VAST - Impulse Engine: Creative Convolution Reverb Plugin by Heavyocity

Heavyocity presents VAST as an experimental convolution reverb rather than a standard space simulator. The Impulse Engine lets you load one of the more than 200 impulse responses included in its banks, or bring in your own recordings to use as IRs.

Because convolution is only one of several modules, you can shape the reverb before or after it with gate, compression, EQ and delay. This makes it possible to turn a dry sound into rhythmic echoes, gated swells or heavily colored atmospheres, depending on how the chain is set up.

The signal path combines convolution, gate, compression, EQ, delay and a dry/wet control. Each module adds its own character, and the controls are designed for quick, intuitive adjustments during experimentation.

Importing your own audio files as impulse responses opens up sound design options beyond the factory library. Over 200 presets are included as a starting point, so you can audition the engine and then tweak the modules to build your own patches.
