Limiting, Expanding and Sidechain Control

The original Dyna-mite handles a wide range of dynamics work. Peak and average limiting are both available, including negative ratio limiting at -20:1. The detector can be filtered at high frequencies, which is useful for de-essing.

Expanding can be set hard or soft, with extreme gate settings also available. Ducking and keying modes use an external sidechain input, so one signal can control the level of another.

Release ranges from 0.05 to 5 seconds per 20 dB, and Anticipatory Release Computation (ARC) is included to reduce pumping.

Slam and Gate: Focused Versions for Daily Use

Slam is built for downward dynamics, covering compression and limiting in a more focused layout than the original. Gate covers upward dynamics, including gating and expanding.

The original plug-in is included with a slightly updated interface for users who want full control. All three plug-ins share the same license.

The output stage includes analog-modeled distortion, which Softube positions as a way to add character and attitude to processed sounds.
