Melodic Phrases and Vowel Articulations

The core of the library is a set of more than 3,100 melodic phrases organized by mode, root pitch and tempo. This makes it practical to pull a phrase that already fits the key and tempo of a track.

Soundiron also recorded sustains in clean and vibrato versions, along with staccatos with 8x round-robin, for the vowels Ah, Mm, Oh and Oo. These articulations support chromatic playing, so you can build melodies note by note as well as use the prepared phrases.

Modes, Presets and Interface

The phrases cover six modes: Ionian, Aeolian, Dorian, Mixolydian, Lydian and Phrygian. Each carries a different emotional color, from the brightness of Ionian to the exotic tension of Phrygian, which helps when matching a vocal line to a scene.

The 25 Kontakt .nki presets use a multi-layer interface with LFO, filter, glide and arpeggiator controls. A full FX rack with convolution reverb offers custom rooms, halls, chambers and FX environments.
