Each instrument is recorded in solo and ensemble articulations. Every articulation has four velocity layers and six round robin repetitions per key, which helps reduce the machine-gun effect when hits are repeated quickly. The samples were recorded in a dry studio environment using two microphone positions, so the sound starts from a clean, unprocessed base.

The main interface shows a 3D representation of all ten instruments. Clicking any instrument opens its individual volume, pan and pitch controls, so you can balance the ensemble inside the instrument before mixing it in your DAW.

Wavesfactory's effect script lets you insert a separate effect chain on each channel. The available processors include EQ, several compressor types, chorus, flanger and phaser, distortion, saturation and tape emulation, algorithmic and convolutional reverb with more than 40 custom impulse responses, and amp simulators.

The built-in sequencer includes seven presets. You can adjust tempo, steps and intensity for each preset, mute instruments you do not need, and choose solo or ensemble articulations. Unlike many sequencers, it lets you set the velocity of each hit. The settings page controls round robin count, dynamic range, velocity curve and per-instrument envelope attack and decay.
