Le Parisien: Accordion Sample Library for Kontakt by Wavesfactory

The library includes three accordions. Rouge is a Chordox accordion with five registers: master, bandon, bassoon, musette and violin. Blanc is a Valetta accordion with two registers, single reed and double reed. Noir is a Frontalini accordion, also with single reed and double reed registers.

Each instrument gives a different tonal palette, so you can choose between the fuller register set of Rouge and the simpler two-register voicings of Blanc and Noir. Wavesfactory recorded two versions of each note, and the library reaches up to six round-robin repetitions through neighbour borrowing.

Le Parisien includes a chord recognizer that triggers chords recorded directly from the accordion. It recognizes major, minor, 7th and diminished chords, so you can play accompaniments with one hand while playing melodies with the other.

The built-in sequencer includes 10 patterns that can be modified, or you can create your own. The settings page divides controls into four sections: round robin, dynamic range, velocity curve and volumes. Sample start offers an Auto mode that follows incoming MIDI velocity, or you can adjust the start offset and smooth it with the attack envelope.

The library also includes an effects script that lets you insert your own chain, including EQ, compressors, chorus, flanger, phaser, saturation, tape, amp simulators and reverb with more than 40 custom impulse responses.
