Mic Positions and Mixing Controls

Sharine has a full mixer that lets you control its three microphone positions separately. The close position uses a mono Royer microphone placed next to the instrument. The mid position uses two Neumann TLM 103 microphones at a middle distance. The far position uses a binaural Neumann KU100 placed at the back of the room.

Each channel has its own load/purge switch, pan, volume, mute and solo controls, and a stereo width control that ranges from 100% stereo to mono. An output selector lets you route the channels to separate tracks in your DAW for mixing.

Pre-Roll Handling and Sequencer

Developer Wavesfactory says Sharine keeps the pre-roll of each sample while keeping grooves in sync with your DAW. A pre-roll script can be applied with a single knob, or you can use the sample start offset for a more traditional approach.

The sequencer offers predefined patterns and custom programming, so you can shape rhythmic parts for tambourine and shaker tracks inside Kontakt.

What do I need to use Sharine?

Sharine requires the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt 5.7.3 or above. It will not run in full within the free Kontakt Player and will only work in demo mode there.
