ORANGE VOCODER NANO brings Zynaptiq's vocoder algorithms into a more compact package. It is built on a selection of the algorithms from ORANGE VOCODER IV, so producers get the same core vocoding engine in a simpler tool. Vocoding Algorithms and Sound Character

The plugin includes four algorithms taken from ORANGE VOCODER IV: Advanced LPC-35 Medium, Online ICA Butter, Speech Model Detailed and Analog Model Live Tight. The developer describes the last one as zero latency. Each algorithm gives a different character, so you can choose between a more detailed speech-like result and a smoother, warmer tone.

A formant shifter with a range of plus or minus 12 semitones lets you move the vocal character up or down independently of the carrier pitch. This is useful for adjusting how a voice sits in a mix or for creating more unusual vocal textures.
