03In depth

Sounds and Sequences for Trance Production

The expansion centers on Avenger presets, with 130 patches spanning pads, leads, plucks and basslines. It also includes 127 arp patterns and 18 drum sequences, giving you rhythmic material that can be loaded directly into a track.

Drum content comes in 18 drum kits. Vengeance Sound describes the presets as designed to stay alive through Avenger's modulation options, so they respond to movement rather than sitting static.

The library also includes 60 multi-samples and 22 granular samples, which add textures that can be shaped inside Avenger.

Wavetables, Oscillator Shapes and Sample Sources

Trance Three adds 37 wavetables and 19 osc-shapes, expanding the oscillator material available to Avenger's sound engine. These can be used as starting points for your own patches.

The developer states that a range of vintage hardware was sampled for the digital and analog sounds in the set. That sampled material is part of the multi-sample and granular content.
