Motion: Dimension is an effects plugin from Excite Audio that pairs two delays and a reverb with a hexagon controller for modulating parameters. It is available in VST3, VST2, AU, AAX and Standalone formats.
Motion: Dimension is built around dual delays and a reverb that can move between plate and hall characters. Its routing section lets you chain the two delays and the reverb in series, in parallel, or in a mix of both. Modulation runs through a hexagon controller with six macro sliders, which can be driven by a magnetic cursor, recorded paths and a timeline. A 3D visualiser responds to the sound as you process it.
Each of the two delays offers separate left and right time and feedback settings, ping-pong and reverse modes, and a re-pitch mode where pitch shifts along with delay time. Tone, duck and filtering controls shape the character of each repeat.
The reverb has two types, plate and hall, and includes length, character, pre-delay, size and distance controls. Shelf and hi/lo-cut filters help the tail sit within a mix.
The hexagon uses six macro sliders that you can map to any onboard effect parameter, with min and max values set per slider. A magnetic cursor pulls the sliders as you move it, and you can set its attract or repel mode, range and strength.
Cursor movement can be played live, recorded or drawn as paths with line and circle tools. A timeline controls playback direction, speed and looping, with optional DAW sync. The routing section offers four series and parallel arrangements with rearrangeable effect slots.
