01Overview

BLEASS Reverb is built around three processing stages: an input stage with gain correction, early reflection pre-delay and a switchable filter; a reverb stage with size modulation, length and high-frequency damping; and a ducker stage with a compressor sidechained to the dry input. An X/Y panel adds a set of frequency shifting and waveshaping to change the reverb space while you play or record. The plugin is aimed at producers who want reverb that goes beyond conventional room and hall tones.

Sound Shaping and Reverb Character

The input stage lets you choose between a low-shelf filter, which can reduce or boost bass, and a high-pass filter, which cuts low frequencies and creates a resonant peak on selected frequencies. The reverb stage offers size modulation and length controls, plus high-frequency damping for plate-style tails.

A freeze toggle holds the reverb tail indefinitely, which the developer presents as a way to explore sustained sound textures.

Ducking, Dry/Wet and the X/Y Panel

The ducker stage uses a compressor sidechained to the dry input, which can bring clarity to heavy kicks and basses by pulling the reverb back when the source is loud.

The X/Y panel applies a set of frequency shifter and waveshaper settings that mutate the reverb space in real time. A dry/wet control sets the reverb level in the mix.
