Mono bass for vinyl and club playback
Wide bass frequencies need deeper grooves when a track is cut to vinyl, and in extreme cases this can make the needle jump during playback. Summing the low end to mono is the safest approach for any track intended for vinyl release.
Club systems are another concern. Many PA setups run entirely in mono or with mono subwoofers, but a full stereo system can produce a wobbling effect in bass when someone moves through the room. Monofilter addresses both situations by collapsing the low frequencies to mono before the track goes out.
