True-Peak Limiting for Standards Compliance
ISL 2 uses the standardised true-peak algorithms of ITU-R BS.1770 and related standards, including Apple's Mastered for iTunes true-peak detection. Instead of raising headroom to avoid intersample overs, you dial in a true-peak limit and let the plugin manage the peaks.
The limiter is look-ahead and described as transparent. Adjustable look-ahead, a two-stage non-linear adaptive algorithm and adjustable channel linking give you control over how it reacts to the material. True brick-wall limited output keeps the ceiling in place.
