03In depth

Vintage Modular Synth Sounds and Presets

Native Instruments says the sounds were captured from iconic modular systems, including instruments from Moog, ARP, Roland and Buchla, along with rare gear and source material from legendary artists.

The instrument includes over 150 presets spread across bass, lead, pad, percussion and FX categories, so you can start with a sound close to the role you need in a track.

Macro Controls and Built-In Sequencer

Macro controls let you reshape a preset quickly, with a single knob affecting several parameters at once. This suits performance and live tweaking as well as fast sound design.

The built-in sequencer generates evolving analog-style patterns, which can help you find a rhythmic idea or a melodic loop without building one from scratch. Native Instruments created the instrument in collaboration with the Bob Moog Foundation.
