01Overview

Memory Rites brings a set of 60 patches from EPROM's Current expansion into a self-contained instrument. The presets cover basses, leads, pads, keys and sound effects, each designed for playing rather than tweaking from scratch. Every patch includes custom macros mapped by the designer, so a single knob can shape a sound in performance. Modulation and pitch-bend movement are built into the presets, so textures shift as you play. You do not need to own Current to use it.

What the 60 Presets Cover

The instrument's library is split across five categories: 25 basses, 14 leads, 9 pads, 6 keys and 6 sound effects. That balance leans toward bass and lead sounds, which suits producers building rhythmic or melodic parts around distorted, machine-like tones.

Each patch is designed by EPROM and comes with mapped macros, so you can move from a static preset to a variation without opening deep menus.

Standalone Use and the Current Connection

Memory Rites works as a complete instrument on its own, with no Current license needed to play the sounds. Every copy also includes the EPROM Current preset pack, which opens in Current and gives full synthesis control over the same 60 presets.

The release also introduces Current Expansion Player, a plugin format that lets producers run artist-built Current expansions without owning the full Current software.
