Loop Engine 3 Upgrade from Loop Engine 2: MIDI Loop Generator Plugin

Loop Engine 3 offers three views for chords, loops and voices, which the developer says streamline navigation and editing. Its Loop Engine Listener companion plugin receives up to 8 color-coded MIDI voices from a single Loop Engine and routes them to separate instrument tracks in your DAW. You can choose which voice feeds which track and swap assignments with a few clicks.

New editing tools include undo, a scrollable piano roll note editor, partition-free note length changes, and temporal offset for micro-timing adjustments. Auxiliary passing notes can be added automatically and assigned to specific voices in the Listener plugin.

The updated POLY function lets note-playing segments interlock in polyrhythmic patterns, and you can hear changes in real time as you move the timing around the interface circle. Chord controls cover 21 chord functions, along with different types and tensions, for shaping progressions.

The plugin includes categorized sequence presets for chords, riffs and arpeggios, plus a preset manager where presets can be tagged. You can also save your own patterns for later recall.
