Filter Shapes and Channel Modes

Helper Equalizer 2 provides five different EQ shapes, giving you a choice of filter types for each correction or tonal move.

The plugin also lets you process specific parts of the signal. You can work on Stereo, Mid, Side, Left and Right channels, which is useful for targeting center content, width or one side of a mix.

The frequency knob sets the affected frequency. The gain knob raises or lowers the level, and the quality knob adjusts filter slope. In some filter modules the gain and quality knobs are not available, so the frequency knob is the main control in those modes.

Gain Staging and Workflow

Helper Equalizer 2 includes input and output gain controls. W. A. Production notes that these allow gain staging before and after the saturation process.

With only three main knobs, the layout stays uncluttered, and the resizable interface lets you adjust the window to suit your screen while working through a session.
