01Overview

Kaleidoscopes brings classic modulation effects into one plugin. Each of its two modulation engines can run a flanger, phaser, chorus or tremolo, and the engines can be routed in series or in parallel to build new combinations. Smart triggering lets the effects respond to your playing in real time, so the modulation can follow the performance rather than run on a fixed clock. The plugin suits producers who want movement and color on synths, guitars, drums and other sources.

Modulation Engines and Routing

Kaleidoscopes gives you two independent modulation engines. You can run them in series for stacked, layered movement, or in parallel for a wider, more complex result. Each engine offers flanger, phaser, chorus and tremolo effects, so you can pair a sweeping phaser with a rhythmic tremolo or combine a chorus with a flanger.

Each engine has its own Speed, Resonance, Width, Depth and Mix controls. Because both engines are adjustable separately, you can shape one as a subtle background texture and the other as a more pronounced effect.

Triggering and Modulation Sources

The smart triggering feature reacts to your playing in real time, which lets the modulation respond to the source instead of running independently of it. The developer's copy gives examples such as chopping synth rhythms with tremolo and triggering sweeps from drums.

You can choose the modulation source from the input, a sidechain, or several waveshapes. Five analog tonal characters extend the effects further and add another layer of color to the output.
