Sound Shaping and Transient Control for Percussion

The plugin gives you four parameters across six modes. Compression and EQ set the initial dynamic response and tone. The Punch control shapes attacks, and the Attitude control adjusts the clarity of transients.

The Tone parameter is aimed at thin-sounding percussion such as maracas, adding body to sources that lack low-end weight. Ambience augments overhead and room mic sounds.

Waves says the plugin polishes sounds without coloring their essential characters.

Working With Drum Loops and Presets

JJP Cymbals & Percussion can make drum loops sound livelier and more realistic, which is useful when a loop feels flat in a mix. It includes 25 presets to speed up the processing workflow, giving you starting points before you adjust the four main controls.

Because it is designed as a companion to JJP Drums, it fits a kick, snare and tom chain alongside the cymbal and percussion processing.
