Sound Character and Age Control
The Instant Phaser Mk II is built around the sound of the original hardware. Eventide says the plugin reproduces the phasing heard on Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir" and "Presence".
The Age control sets how much the phase network drifts. At 0%, the effect sounds as it did when the hardware left the factory. Higher settings add the imprecise, aged character of worn components, which can suit tracks that call for a less exact phase effect.
The Mode switch changes how many phase-shift sections are used. Shallow, Deep and Wide offer different phasing textures. In Wide mode, the left and right channels receive different amounts of phase shift, which can widen a mono guitar or fill out the sides of a single-channel synth.
