Industry Brass Core captures the bright, articulate brass sound recorded by Damon Tedesco on the Newman Scoring Stage. The library covers trumpets, trombones, French horns and tuba, with a broad set of articulations and effects for writing everything from short films to large-scale game and film scores. Five mixes and mic positions let you adjust the sound for different mix environments, and a set of articulation mapping presets helps you start writing quickly.

Sound, Mics and Mix Options

The library includes five mixes and mic positions: Dry Mix, Wet Mix, Close Mics, Room Mics and Surround Mics. Cinesamples says these options are intended to help the brass sit well in different mixes and environments.

Cinesamples describes the Newman Scoring Stage sound as bright and immediate, keeping clarity even when the full section plays detailed passages. That makes it suited to high-intensity action cues as well as intimate scores that need a flexible brass section.

The Color presets shift the tone toward four eras: Golden Era (30s), Timeless (50s), Blockbuster (80s) and Modern, which reflects the stage's current sound as shaped by Damon Tedesco.

Patches and Articulations

Industry Brass Core is organized by instrument. The trumpet section includes legato, sustain, sforzando, tenuto, staccato and staccatissimo articulations, plus mute variations and a range of FX such as falls, rips, cup growls, doits and shakes.

The horn patches add stopped sustain and staccato options along with crescendo, growl, breath and rip FX. The trombone set includes mute articulations, cup wah variations and cross tone FX, and a solo tuba patch with core articulations rounds out the library.
