CinePiano: Concert Grand Piano Kontakt Instrument by Cinesamples

CinePiano includes four mixes. The CinePiano mix is a standard representation of the grand piano, using the M49 microphones and the room array, with separate close, room and surround mixes available on the patch. The Classical mix is slightly more distant and designed for concert realism. The Cinematic mix is intimate and muted, suited to cinematic textures. Rock Studio Grand uses heavier mixing techniques for a brighter, punchier, edgier sound with slight distortion on the attacks.

The Perspective fader adds another layer of control. When Perspective Mode is active, a slider crossfades between microphone positions, and it is mapped to the Mod Wheel for real-time changes in the piano's relative depth.

The Character knob works as a macro, changing several parameters at once to move the playing style from intimate to aggressive. Dynamic Range acts like a MIDI-controlled compressor, changing note volume without altering velocities. Velocity Curve options, including custom-drawn curves, help match the instrument to your keyboard's action.

Pedal Behavior models the repedalling of a real grand, where quick sustain pedal releases do not let the dampers stop the strings fully. The Soundboard feature adds sympathetic resonances while the sustain pedal is held. Round Robin Borrowing adds tonal variation by drawing on surrounding notes.
