01Overview

inDelay is built around Sound Particles' 3D engine, which it applies to each delay you create. Instead of a single repeat line, you can run many delays at once, each with its own position and movement. An air absorption option models how high frequencies fade with distance, and a Craziness control pushes the repeats toward dense, lush, reverb-like textures. The plugin covers a wide range of output layouts, from mono and stereo to 5.1, Ambisonics, Sony 360 and Dolby Atmos.

Sound Character and Delay Control

The Dynamic Particles System is the core of the plugin. Each delay behaves as a particle in a 3D space, so repeats can be placed and moved rather than simply stacked. The visual Time Editor lets you click and drag to adjust several delays at once, covering both present and past repeats.

Air Simulation adds air absorption, so distant delay particles sound darker and more natural. Delay Movements add motion to repeats, and Channel Customization lets you position each delay within the stereo or surround field.

Workflow, Presets and Surround Output

Soundscape Mode is aimed at building immersive, environment-style textures. Random Presets generate unexpected starting points when you want to explore. The Craziness knob shifts the effect from discrete echoes toward rich reverb-like tails with a single control.

With more than 30 output formats, inDelay can be used in mono, stereo or immersive mixes, including High Order Ambisonics, Sony 360 and Dolby Atmos. Pro Tools use requires a 64-bit compatible version, PT11 or later, for the AAX format.
