01Overview

Doppler models how objects moving through air change the sound reaching a listener. It controls the parameters that physically affect pitch, level and EQ in a real-world pass-by, so producers can create Doppler effects that sound natural rather than artificially pitched. Accurate Doppler Pitch, Level and Distance EQ

Doppler applies three effects together: pitch shift, volume change and the frequency response that air absorption produces over distance. Because these move together in a real pass-by, the result sounds closer to a physical event than a simple pitch bend.

You can set the time of the peak, and the other parameters adjust so the Doppler lands in sync with the picture. This makes the plugin practical for sound design and post-production work where timing against the image matters.

Immersive and Multichannel Microphone Modes

Doppler supports a range of microphone setups, from mono patterns such as omni, cardioid and figure-of-eight to stereo arrangements including MS, XY, ORTF, Blumlein and AB. It also handles 5.1, 7.1 and 9.1 channel beds, a Dolby Atmos bed, and Ambisonics up to third order.
