Six Delay Modes and Sound Character

Echoes includes six modes. Filter is a standard delay with filtered feedback. Reverb uses the echo taps to create an algorithmic reverb effect. BBD emulates bucket brigade delay hardware, including its warm character and aliasing artifacts. Tape is based on tape echo machines and gives control over drive, dirt and wobble. Pan widens mono sources and adds movement to static sounds. Lo-fi combines bit crushing with a modeled 4-pole synth filter for gritty degradation.

The developer positions the modes for different sources: Filter for vocals, Reverb for synths and guitars, and Pan for sustained keyboards.

Timing, Feedback and Output Controls

You can set delay time in milliseconds or sync it to the DAW tempo, then adjust the feedback amount. A feedback limiter is built in to keep repeats from exceeding -6 dB.

A built-in ducking compressor lowers the echoes under the lead signal, which keeps vocals clear. The output section lets you widen the stereo image, collapse low frequencies to mono and filter the echoes to fit a track.
