03In depth

House Sounds and Preset Character

Feel It's sounds are sampled from synths associated with house music, and the 150 presets are organized around the genre's common building blocks: classic pianos, organs, stabs, basses and pads.

Native Instruments says the collection includes both 90s-style house tones and textures suited to a more modern club sound. The presets are meant as starting points, so you can use them as they are or adapt them to your track.

Editing Tools and Real-Time Control

Each preset can be shaped with the instrument's editors. The sound editor gives access to tuning, filters, panning and envelopes for the two sound sources, and the effects editor lets you swap or reorder effects by drag-and-drop.

A 16-step sequencer can generate patterns, and six assignable macros let you control parameters such as filter or distortion in real time from the main page. The settings page covers key ranges and velocity curves.
