01Overview

ElastiquePitch V2.5 is built on the ELASTIQUEPRO engine from zplane and is aimed at producers who need transparent pitch shifting as well as creative sound design. Its pitch and formant controls work independently, so you can change how high or low a sound is without changing its tonal character, or deliberately shift both together. The Pitch Delay and Grain Freeze features add repeats and frozen textures on top of the shifting. Version 2.5 also introduces a redesigned interface that puts the main parameters within easy reach.

Transparent Pitch Shifting and Formant Control

The core of ElastiquePitch V2.5 is independent pitch and formant shifting. Pitch can be moved by up to one octave in either direction, and the formant can be shifted separately, which is useful when you want a voice or instrument to sit higher or lower while keeping its natural timbre.

The plugin handles both polyphonic and monophonic material, so it can be applied to a single instrument, an entire bus or a complex mix. Stereo and transient information are preserved through phase stability, which helps the stereo image hold together after shifting.

With support for up to 16 channels processed simultaneously, it also fits multichannel setups.

Pitch Delay, Grain Freeze and MIDI Performance

Pitch Delay produces repeats that are pitch and formant shifted, letting you build cascading echoes and rising or falling atmospheres. Grain Freeze holds a slice of audio and sustains it, which can be used for infinite glitch-style textures and experimental pads.

MIDI control lets you activate pitch control with a single button, bend pitch in real time, play transpositions from a keyboard, or automate shifts over time. All of this runs in real time, synced to your DAW.
