Tone shaping and cabinet modeling

The WT800 plugin models two Eden cabinets, giving you two cabinet voices to work with rather than one. Each cabinet is miked with four classic microphones, and the microphone choices and placements were selected by producer and bassist Troy Antunes, according to Softube.

A three-channel mixer section lets you blend the two cabinets with the direct signal, so you can dial in a mix of cabinet character and clean DI tone.

The five-band EQ and the enhance knob give you control over the frequency balance. Enhance boosts the highs and lows while cutting the mids for a scooped sound.

Bi-amping and workflow

Bi-amping is built in. Select a cutoff frequency and send the low and high frequencies to different cabinets, which lets you treat the lows and highs separately within one plugin.

The built-in compressor sits in the signal chain, so dynamics control is available without adding another plugin. Softube describes the plugin as suited to both rough, dirty tones and hi-fi modern tones.
