01Overview

Drums of War 2 is a percussion instrument for Kontakt developed by Cinesamples. It follows the original Drums of War library, which focused on a huge cinematic sound. This version takes a different approach: each percussion instrument was recorded individually, and Ensemble patches were built by double, triple, and quadruple-tracking the performances. Recorded Instruments and Ensemble Patches

The library covers a wide range of percussion, including taikos, daikos, djun djuns, frame drums, tabla, doumbek, gong, hang drum, metals, mixing bells, and several shakers. Cinesamples recorded each instrument on its own, then used multi-tracking to create Ensemble patches.

For instruments marked with an asterisk, the library includes multiple individual patches alongside the Ensemble versions. This gives you the choice between a single, focused hit and a fuller, layered sound for the same instrument.
