Sound, Recording Space and Dynamic Layers
The instrument is built on recordings captured at the Manhattan Center Studios in 24/48k resolution. Cinesamples presents the sound as unprocessed and natural, with the full reverberation of the space captured along with the drums.
Each of the five dynamic layer patches uses level-based round robin programming. Playing at different velocities moves between layers, and the round robin cycling reduces repetition across repeated hits. Alternate takes add further variation, with up to RR X13 positions included.
A Quick EQ interface uses pre-selected frequencies for faster equalization. The developer notes that the EQ controls are an accelerated way to shape the sound, so they may not replace a full mixing chain.
