Drumazon 2: 909-Style Drum Machine Plugin by D16 Group

D16 Group says Drumazon 2 emulates all of the sounds of the original 909, matching each individual instrument closely.

Each drum sound has its own channel strip with EQ and compression, so you can refine the original 909 character for each part. Factory presets for each instrument are included to build a kit quickly.

The plugin also includes two bus effect chains. They offer a bitcrusher or distortion for grit, reverb or delay for space, chorus for thickness, and dynamics and EQ for mixing. A filter can be added to these chains for more creative processing.

The sequencer lets you set velocity for accented and non-accented steps, with an optional global boost, and add articulation types for expressive rhythms. The tap function records live grooves, and a custom randomizer generates drum lines you can edit or save. Hundreds of factory patterns are included.

The original machines had analog trigger outputs for controlling external gear. Drumazon 2 includes this trigger output, which produces the short pulse sound associated with electro music.

The master section has a 3-band compressor and a limiter, with master presets for quick results. MIDI export lets you finish patterns in your DAW.
