DRMeter MkII is a loudness meter aimed at music producers and audio engineers who move between mixing, mastering and delivery work. It measures loudness and dynamic range in one window and shows channel-specific trends next to classic left and right metering. Loudness and dynamic range metering

DRMeter MkII combines the mandated mono loudness measurement with classic L/R metering, so you can see which channel causes a problem. The developer states that it is the first loudness meter designed for general use and specifically for music production.

The plugin includes DR dynamic range measurement, which MAAT says is also available in its DROffline batch utility. Dynamic Deviation shows how much dynamic density your material has compared with a target loudness, and DualVu displays relative and absolute scales at the same time.

Workflow controls and settings

Measurements keep running in the background, so you can switch between methods without losing the overall picture. You can set a target loudness and a True Peak threshold, and save user presets for different clients or programs.

Features such as Play and Pause for integrated measurement, three automatic modes for integrated measurement, a gate on/off switch and a global reset button help you control how readings are taken. An MFiT mode measures and monitors signal through a round trip iTunes AAC+ codec.
