01Overview

Soundiron's Didgeridoos brings a chromatic range of 16 individually tuned didgeridoos into Kontakt. The library includes sustaining rhythmic grooves, vowel sounds, beatbox-style staccatos and effect articulations. Its Kontakt interface offers automation-ready controls for swell, attack, release, filter, vibrato and pitch, along with an LFO system, an arpeggiator, a key and scale lock, and a modular FX rack with 10 slots. The developer created the instrument with respect for the Aboriginal Peoples of Australia and designed it as a creative tool rather than a traditional or ceremonial one.

Sound Articulations and Sound Design Tools

The core of Didgeridoos is its set of articulations. Chromatic sustains let you play melodies across the range of 16 tuned instruments, while vowels, beatbox-style staccatos and FX articulations add rhythmic and textural options.

The Kontakt interface gives you control over swell, attack, release, offset, vibrato, filter, coarse and fine pitch, articulation switching, cross-fading and layering. Twenty custom sound-designed FX and ambient presets provide starting points for atmospheric and experimental work.

The library also includes 43 ambience patches built from the source content.

Modulation, Arpeggiator and FX Rack

An adaptable LFO system offers selectable shape, modulation target, speed, intensity, tempo-syncing and fade-in time. You can apply 12 lowpass, high-pass and FX filters with modulation sources such as velocity, mod wheel, expression, aftertouch, key position and step-sequencer table control.

The customizable arpeggiator provides a velocity table and control over direction, timing, swing, randomization and duration. A key and scale lock constrains notes to common scales for melodic writing and live play.

The modular FX rack holds 18 DSP modules, including phaser, flanger, delay, distortion, amp and cab simulators, compressors, EQ and rotator, assignable in any order across 10 slots. The reverb section includes 99 convolution impulse responses for rooms, halls, chambers and outdoor spaces, plus 40 custom FX impulses.
