01Overview

BLEASS Saturator is built for adding drive, grit and movement to sounds. The developer positions it for basses, drums and leads, with a processing chain that starts with multi-band drive and moves through waveshaping, bit reduction and modulation. Multi-Band Drive and Waveshaping Controls

The drive stage can be set up to 60 dB, and an optional EQ mode lets you define the low and high band frequencies that the drive applies to. Three sliders set low, mid and high EQ gains, also up to 60 dB, so you can saturate specific frequency ranges rather than the full signal.

The waveshaper stage offers nine algorithms, from hard and soft clipping up to a fifth-order polynomial. A waveform display updates in real time as you adjust the offset, depth, period and strength controls, making it easier to see how each algorithm shapes the signal.

Bitcrusher and LFO Modulation

The bitcrusher can be placed before or after the waveshaper, or switched off. Depth and rate control the amount of bit reduction, and both can be modulated by the LFO.

The LFO offers six waveforms, beat-synced and free-running modes, and controls for rate, offset, stereo phase and amount. A stereo meter shows the LFO movement. Twelve modulation targets are available, including drive, the frequency bands, the three EQ gains, the waveshaper parameters, and bit depth and bit rate.
