Sound Design With Four FM Operators and 11 Algorithms
Omega uses four FM operators, each generating a sine wave shaped by its own ADSR envelope and volume control. Eleven algorithms route the operators in different ways, and colour-coded diagrams show how each one is connected. In every algorithm, the fourth operator includes a feedback loop that modulates its own frequency, controlled by a Feedback setting.
Operators can follow the keyboard or hold a fixed frequency, with Coarse, Fine, Frequency and Multiplier controls for tuning. A global Time control scales the envelopes of all four operators at once, which is useful when shaping attack and decay across a patch.
