Wavetable Saturation and Sound Character
The saturation engine clips the input at 0dB and maps the signal onto a wavetable. A signal at full level sits at the far end of the wavetable, and quieter material moves toward its centre. Because the wavetable sets the shape of the output, changing the wavetable changes the character of the sound, from light warmth to aggressive grit.
The Saturation tab holds all wavetable engine controls together with master input and output levels, so you can set drive and output gain in one place.
