Neural network sequencing and percussion voices
Axon 3 uses an artificial neural network sequencer with seven neurons. When a neuron reaches its trigger threshold, it can fire its internal voice, send a pulse out over MIDI, or both. The connections between neurons shape the rhythm, so programming the sequencer means defining how the pattern evolves rather than placing individual steps.
Each of the seven percussion voices is an FM and virtual analog design. The voices can be routed together through AM and FM busses so they act as one larger percussion synthesizer. A full mixer provides pan, level, mute and solo on every voice.
