Sound, Samples and Patch Structure
Atlas ships with over 800 24-bit samples across 16 sample banks, which the developer calls patches. Source material totals 2.9GB and is compressed to about 1GB in the NCW format, which keeps the disk footprint manageable.
Because each patch is a self-contained instrument within one NKI, you can switch between textures without loading separate files. The five-octave key range gives enough room to play melodic lines across most of a keyboard.
