AC101 and AC202: Two Analog Models in One Set

The AC101 models an analog channel amplifier. It works as a digital pre-amp that can take heavy gain without digital distortion. A drive control sets where the signal sits in the saturation and compression region, and the attack and release times of the distortion character are adjustable.

The AC202 models analog tape machines. Standard tape parameters are included, such as bias, playback speed and IEC 1/2 equalization. McDSP also adds controls beyond what physical machines offered, including adjustable low frequency roll off and head bump that work independently of playback speed. You can choose from several playback head types and tape formulations, and set the tape saturation recovery time.

Features for Mixing and Analysis

The plugins use zero latency algorithms and double precision processing. Real-time analyzers and a real-time display of saturation curves and calibrations let you see what the saturation is doing as you adjust it. A library of presets emulates analog mixing systems, and mono and stereo versions are included.
